As of version 1.8 / 1.9 the web based configuration for EdgeRouters includes VLAN tag insertion making it much easier to connect to NZ UFB circuits. The only caveat is to make sure you have latest firmware installed (http://download.ubnt.com) and follow the screen shot below.
