Example config to donnect a Panasonic HDV430 video capable phone to the SIP registrar of a Mobotix T2x DoorStation for video calls between devices. The Bell button will initiate a call to the phone and calls from the phone to the DoorStation are auto answered and video is transmitted. Please note that you can trigger the digital output of an attached keypad or EXT-IO box with the telephone DTMF key 1 (lights are DTMF 2).

######################################################################

In this example the DoorStation has a static address of 10.13.0.137 which you will see in the provided screenshots.

Set the new extension number for your phone e.g. 202 .201 is automatically used for the T25 itself.

I also like to remove the * symbol from *201 to 201 as well.

Admin>>SIP Server Settings

Update the client SIP address as well to remove the * from the User Name section (Admin>>SIP Client Settings)

Next step is to set up the Panasonic to register to DoorStation

First get our handy provisioning file to set up timezones, daylight savings, NZ dialtones etc .

The provisioning URL is http://prov.snappernet.co.nz/KX-HDV130X.cfg Reboot and the WebUI is now permanently open too!

Complete the registration details as below.

Set some basic video settings so it’s a bit more usable

Test by dialling 201 from the HDV430

Set Intercom mode in the Admin>> Incoming Calls Settings section and set audio noise cancelling if required

Now set Admin>>Outgoing Call Settings profile for 201

NOTE: experiment with the Camera Remote Control later – its good for PTZ but can be intrusive with lots of image overlays.

Now setting the “DoorSation Admin>> Bell Behavior and Video Mailbox” you can tell the DoorStation which outbound call profile to use. You can have a call signalling phase where call profiles A & B are called then call to C & D etc depending on how many end points you want to configure this may or may not be a requirement

First expand out the view using the ‘More’ button

Then you’ll see you can add in your new call profile. Click the call profile to highlight it then click the ‘add selected devices’ button

Now test calling by pressing the bell button on the T25.
